Corona

Due to frequent questions regarding our handling of trips that cannot be carried out due to the current corona measures, we outline our practice this season here. Should corona-related restrictions occur again next year, we will act exactly as we did last two years.

Corona measures in The Netherlands

From Friday 18 February 2022:

  • all locations in The Netherlands can reopen until 01:00. The corona admission ticket (3G) will continue to apply until 25 February at all locations where it must already be shown. Such as in restaurants, in cinemas, museums and theatres and at professional sports competitions.
  • Once inside these locations, a fixed seat, wearing a face mask and keeping a distance of 1.5 meters is no longer mandatory. There is also no longer a visitor standard. At locations with more than 500 people, a fixed seat and wearing a face mask when moving is still mandatory.
  • The isolation advice after a positive test is shortened to 5 days, provided that someone has no more complaints for 24 hours.

From 25 February 2022

The Netherlands will take the last opening step on Friday 25 February. :

  • normal opening hours apply again;
  • The Netherlands say goodbye to:
    • the corona admission ticket (3G) at locations where fewer than 500 people are inside;
    • the mandatory 1.5 meter distance;
    • wearing a face mask when moving around in the catering industry, in education or in the shop;
    • a maximum number of visitors and a fixed seat in, for example, the catering industry.

Nightclubs, discotheques, festivals and events open

This means that the large nightclubs, discotheques, festivals and events will also reopen indefinitely. In places inside where more than 500 people gather and do not have a fixed seat here, for example in the night horeca or at festivals, everyone must show a negative test result. This does not apply to transfer locations such as trade fairs and conferences.

Face mask in public transport remains

In order to offer vulnerable people the opportunity to travel safely, it will still be mandatory to wear a face mask in public transport and at the airport after 25 February too.

Advice from the Dutch Government:

" After almost 2 years of experience with the corona approach, we have learned how difficult it is to deal with measures that limit our daily lives. And with relaxations. That is why we must continue to pay attention and help each other so that we do not infect each other. The virus is still there. So it remains wise for everyone to still adhere to the advice that demonstrably limits the spread of the virus. Such as washing hands, coughing and sneezing in the elbow, not shaking hands, keeping your distance or wearing a mask in places where it is busy, sufficient fresh air, regular self-test, testing in case of complaints and getting a vaccine or booster shot."

How do we deal with corona-related cancellations?

Our approach to corona measures in the 2020 and 2021 season was as follows:
If traveling could not take place as planned, we offered our guests three different possibilities:

1. to postpone the contract to the next year, we will then have issued a voucher for all the money (paid on account)

2. if a new date was already known, we postponed the contract to the next year and simply changed the date. (Payments see above)

3. we cancelled the contract and remitted 100% of the (pre)paid money.
.
We will continue to practice this approach in the 2022 season.
So you can book (again) with us in a relaxed and familiar manner ...
